Donald Trump’s Ludicrous Comparison: Trying to Tie His Legal Woes to Navalny’s Tragic Demise

In a move that left many scratching their heads and others stifling laughter, former President Donald Trump recently drew a parallel between the demise of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his own legal battles in the United States.

The comparison, made via his Truth Social platform, has been met with a mix of bewilderment and amusement.

“The sudden death of Alexei Navalny has made me more and more aware of what is happening in our Country,” Trump proclaimed, setting the stage for a discourse that quickly veered into the realm of surrealism. “It is a slow, steady progression, with CROOKED, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges leading us down a path to destruction.”

Trump’s assertion that Navalny’s tragic fate somehow mirrors his own legal entanglements sparked a flurry of reactions across the political spectrum.

Nikki Haley, one of Trump’s former allies and now his rival in the GOP presidential primary, wasted no time in denouncing his remarks.

She took to Twitter to express her disapproval, stating, “Donald Trump could have condemned Vladimir Putin for being a murderous thug. Instead, he stole a page from liberals’ playbook, denouncing America and comparing our country to Russia.”

Indeed, the comparison between Navalny, a vocal critic of Putin’s regime who faced multiple assassination attempts before his untimely death, and Trump’s legal woes in the U.S. seems like a stretch even by the former president’s standards.

Navalny’s death, which came after surviving several poisoning attempts and enduring imprisonment, has drawn widespread condemnation from international leaders.

President Joe Biden described himself as “both not surprised and outraged,” emphasising the severity of the situation.

Trump’s attempt to equate Navalny’s struggle for freedom with his own legal battles has left many observers perplexed.

While Trump did express condolences for Navalny’s poisoning in 2020, his recent comparison raises eyebrows and questions about the former president’s grasp of reality.

America is the leading political, economic and military power in the world. However, America is far behind in the area of literacy. In fact by some rankings the United States does not crack the top fifty. Why should we not be surprised?

Republican former president and current leader among primary presidential aspirants, Donald Trump is the quintessence of a populist poorly educated leader. He does have a college degree, but in real estate.
