Heathrow no longer Europe's busiest airport - loses crown to Paris

Britain’s Heathrow Airport is pessimistic about passenger numbers for the coming year as the pandemic continues to crush demand for flying.

Heathrow announced on Wednesday that it expects 37 million people to travel through the airport in 2021, as opposed to the initial projection of 63 million passengers made in June.

It also reported it was no longer the busiest airport in Europe, as it has now been eclipsed by Paris Charles de Gaulle.
