Kashmiri political prisoner Yasin Malik "seriously ill"

Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik is reported to be seriously ill in Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, Delhi, India, having been on on hunger strike for last 10 days following his detention by Indian authorities. 

JKLF Europe has demanded the release of Yasin Malik  and other all Kashmiri political prisoners including Senior leaders Zahoor Butt, Shoukat Ahmed Bakshi, Shabir Ahmed Òhah and others currently held in Indian Jails.

Yasin Malik is on hunger strike from 10th of April, 2019, and for the last four days he has been in hospital in serious condition.International, regional and local human rights organizations are appealed to take cognizance of the situation and save Yasin Malik’s life.

In a statement issued this weekend, the Belgium Based JKLF Diplomatic Council Member Sardar Nasim Iqbal condemned the arrest of JKLF Leaders and the killing of innocent youths by Indian forces in Jammu Kashmir state.

He said that people in the state are facing a worsening situation with military forces enjoying impunity under the garb of draconian laws. He urged the International community to set up an International Independent Tribunal to probe these actions so that the conspirators and perpetrators can be unmasked and punished under International Law.
