Brexit: Deal On Citizen's Rights May Be Imminent

In an interesting development, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and his Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier will meet the European Parliament's Brexit team, led by Guy Verhofstadt, early on Monday Dec 4th, an EU official said this morning.

The meeting will take place at 11am, shortly before  Juncker and Barnier sit down to lunch with Theresa May. This is significant, as the Parliament has to give its assent to any Brexit treaty with Britain, and there is speculation that suggests that a deal on citizen's rights, a major concern of the Parliament, could be ready for their approval.

This is, of course, of the three so-called key issues holding up talks on future trade relations.
