If the parliamentary elections in Ukraine were to be held this Sunday, the new Ukrainian parliament would consist of people’s deputies comprising eight political parties, most of them representing pro-European and anti-Russian views.
The biggest support of Ukrainian voters would be given to the Batkivschyna Party headed by Yulia Tymoshenko, and the Solidarnist Party of the incumbent Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko. They will be followed by a number of smaller parties - Opposition Bloc, “Gromadyanska Pozitsiya”, ”Za Zhittya”, "Radical Party", “Samopomich”, as well as a new political project of a rising television star Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The first leg of presidential elections will be won by Yulia Tymoshenko and Petro Poroshenko, both closely followed by Vadym Rabinovich (leader of “Za Zhittya” party) and Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
These results were presented in the poll published by BURI (The Belgium-Ukraine Research Institute). The research was made on March 19-30, 2018. Results of the survey are shown in Tables 1 and 2.
