September poll in Ukraine: five political parties to enter new parliament, opposition Platform-Za Zhittya close to overtaking Sluga Narodu
According to the survey conducted on September 11-16th, 2020, should parliamentary elections in Ukraine be held this Sunday the new Ukrainian parliament would consist of the following political parties:
“Sluga Narodu” Party led by David Arakhamia, Oleksandr Kornienko and Ruslan Stephanchuk, and backed by the incumbent President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy (25.3%), “Opposition Platform – Za Zhittya” led by Yuriy Boyko, Viktor Medvedchuk and Vadim Rabinovich (22.4%), the “European Solidarnist” Party of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (12.6%), the “Batkivschyna” Party of Yulia Tymoshenko (9.1%), and The Shariy Party (5.3%).
The other political parties so far do not have enough public support to enter the next parliament: the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko – 3.0%, “Syla i Chest” Party of Ihor Smeshko – 2.8%, “Gromadyanska Pozitsiya” of Anatoliy Grytsenko – 2.5%, “Groysman’s Ukrainian Strategy” of Volodymyr Groysman – 1.7%, “Samopomich” Party led by Oksana Syroid – 1.5%, “Golos” Party led by Kira Rudyk who substituted the singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk – 1.2%, “Opposition Bloc” of Boris Kolesnikov and Eugeniy Muraev – 0.9%, the “Svoboda” Party of Oleg Tyagnybok – 0.9%, “Za Maibutnie” Party of Ihor Palytsya – 0.7%, and “The National Corps” Party of Andriy Biletskiy – 0.5%.
The international research center BURI (The Belgium-Ukraine Research Institute) conducted the survey in Ukraine (excluding the temporarily uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and Crimea) on September 11-16th, 2020. The survey method: computer-assisted telephone interviews on the basis of random selection of phone numbers. Total quantity of respondents equaled 2,008 individuals (representative sample). Error margin is 2.2%.
