Ukraine: five political parties to enter the new parliament, with Sluga Narodu & Opposition Platform-Za Zhittiya taking the lead, poll suggests
According to a survey conducted on July 10-14 2020, should parliamentary elections in Ukraine be held this Sunday the new Ukrainian parliament would consist of the following political parties:
“Sluga Narodu” Party led by David Arakhamia and Oleksandr Kornienko and backed by the incumbent President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy (26.7%), “Opposition Platform – Za Zhittya” led by Yuriy Boyko, Viktor Medvedchuk and Vadim Rabinovich (22.1%), the “European Solidarnist” Party of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (13.7%), the “Batkivschyna” Party of Yulia Tymoshenko (7.5%), and The Shariy Party – 5.3%.
The other parties so far do not have enough public support to enter the next parliament: the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko – 3.5%, “Syla i Chest” Party of Ihor Smeshko – 2.9%, “Gromadyanska Pozitsiya” of Anatoliy Grytsenko – 2.8%, “Golos” Party led by Kira Rudyk who substituted the singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk – 1.7%, “Groysman’s Ukrainian Strategy” of Volodymyr Groysman – 1.5%, “Opposition Bloc” of Boris Kolesnikov and Eugeniy Muraev – 1.4%, “Samopomich” Party of Oksana Syroid – 1.3%, the “Svoboda” Party of Oleg Tyagnybok – 0.9%, “The National Corps” Party of Andriy Biletskiy – 0.8%, “Za Maibutnie” Party of Ihor Palytsya – 0.1%.
The international research center BURI (The Belgium-Ukraine Research Institute) conducted the survey in Ukraine on July 10-14, 2020. The survey method: computer-assisted telephone interviews on the basis of random selection of phone numbers. Total quantity of respondents equaled 2,014 individuals (representative sample). Error margin is 2.2%.
