Ex-British Intelligence Chief Attacks Aspiring Prime Ministers

Sir John Sawers, the former head of MI6, Britain's overseas intelligence agency, has condemned both Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn, saying that they lack "standing".

In a scathing report, he questioned the ability of the leadership of either of the UK's two main parties to actually lead.

We are going through a political nervous breakdown.. We have potential Prime Ministers being elected by the Conservative party now, & in the shape of the leader of the opposition, who do not have the standing that we have become used to in our top leadership.

Sir John Sawers

Sir John Sawers' comments are being seen in the UK as being the most outspoken of any made public by any former civil servant.

It is no secret that MI6 and MI5 are unhappy with the calibre of today's British politicians.
