Three killed in knife attack in Notre-Dame basilica, Nice, France

Reports suggest three people have been killed in a terrorist attack in Nice, one men, and two woman. The man and one of the women were beheaded. The attack happened at 9am on Thursday morning inside the Notre-Dame basilica in the city centre.

Several others are reported to have been injured.

The attacker, who witnesses say repeatedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” while he was being arrested and handcuffed, was shot and wounded by police.

We have two people killed inside the church … and a third person who was in a bar facing the church where she had taken refuge. Enough is enough … we have to remove this Islamo-fascism from our territory. Before it was a school professor, this time the Islamo-fascist barbarism chose to attack inside a church. Again, it is very symbolic.

After the killing of teacher Samuel Paty at Conflans-Sainte-Honorine on October 16th, President Emmanuel Macron said France was engaged in an “existential” battle against Islamist fundamentalism, prompting an outpouring of anger in parts of the Muslim world, with some governments accusing French leader Emmanuel Macron of pursuing an anti-Islam agenda.
