Russian mortar attacks in Donbas - one Ukrainian serviceman reported killed

On January 5th, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine four times, Ukrinform has reported.

“The enemy used 82mm mortars banned under the Minsk agreements, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms to shell positions of the Joint Forces,” the press centre of the JFO Headquarters reports.

As noted, the enemy launched three attacks in the zone of action of tactical force “East” and one more attack in the zone of action of tactical force “North”.

One member of the Ukrainian Forces was killed during the actions.
