President of the Eurogroup and Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, is in Vilnius today, 25th March for a series of meetings.
He will meet with the Minister for Finance Gintarė Skaistė to discuss the euro area economic outlook, budgetary coordination and the recent Eurogroup agreement on making further progress in deepening Europe’s Capital Markets Union. Minister Donohoe will also meet with the Governor of the Lithuanian Central Bank Gediminas Šimkus.
“I am really looking forward to a series of meetings in Lithuania with both the Minister for Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank.
“The performance and resilience of the Lithuanian economy, in particular the great job Lithuania has done in weathering the inflation storm, is a testament to the economic stewardship of the economy led by Minister Skaistė.
