US Presidential Candidates Avoid Traditional Photo Opportunities With Provisional IRA Terrorist Leaders Ahead of Nov. 5th Election

Sinn Féin/IRA's long standing associations with Palestinian terrorist groups rule out the traditional plays to the Irish-American vote following the October 7th atrocities.

One particularly unpleasant sight from which we are being spared during the current U.S. Presidential campaign is that of the Candidates posing for photos with Provisional IRA terrorist leaders in a bid to woo the Irish vote. Why might that be…?

The Provisional IRA has always been very close to the various Palestinian terrorist groups.

Indeed, the Palestinian Authority’s ambassador to Ireland, Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, told Sinn Féin’s annual conference in November 2023 – just weeks after Hamas’ October 7th atrocities – Israel was turning Gaza into “hell on earth.”

This apologist for terrorism was met with screams of “free Gaza”… from apologists for terrorism!

And so images of presidential hopefuls hugging Irish terrorists would not likely go down so well with Jewish voters on November 5th.

The “Irish” vote has always been particularly important to the Democrats, and to the Kennedys in particular.

In fact, Joseph Kennedy Sr. (the father of JFK) whilst serving as Ambassador to the United Kingdom (1938–1940), and when not advocating appeasement towards Adolf Hitler, expressed considerable support for the “Irish cause”.

The Kennedy family’s support for the cause continue through the next generation. President John F. Kennedy and his brothers Robert and Edward Kennedy also showed political support for Ireland.

More recently, in 2022, Sinn Féin – accepted as the political wing of the IRA – warmly welcomed the appointment of Joe Kennedy III as the U.S. Special Envoy to Northern Ireland.

But come election time, its not just the Kennedys who like to bask in the glow of the terrorists.

Gerry Adams, who was “reportedly” a member of the IRA’s ‘Army Council’, the decision-making body of the terrorist group, from 1977-2005, is a particular favourite with Democrat Presidents and hopefuls (as well as Senators and Congressmen with large Irish constituencies.)

During ‘The Troubles’, (1968-98) the terrorist campaign during which time 1840 civilians and 1114 British security force personnel were killed, (and in which this writer served), the IRA Army Council was calling the shots in what was the main terrorist organisation, the IRA itself.

But when it comes to courting the Irish vote, none of this appears to matter to U.S. Presidents, or indeed Presidential hopefuls.

Democrat candidate Kamala Harris is herself known to have engaged in an online virtual meeting with Sinn Féin Vice-President Michelle O’Neill in March 2021.

Not just the Democrats….

In 2017 Sinn Féin denied that Donald Trump once donated to their party, although there is evidence that he had previously attended a $200 per head Sinn Féin fundraiser in Manhattan, reportedly on the invitation of Gerry Adams himself.

The event took place shortly before the Canary Wharf bombing of February 9th 1996, when the IRA detonated a powerful truck bomb in South Quay.

The attack was carried out by the IRA’s South Armagh Brigade.

Two people were killed, and an estimated £150 million worth of damage was caused. Two buildings had to be demolished, such was the extent of the damage.

Prior to this, George W. Bush was the one U.S. President to truly call out the IRA for what they are when he refused Gerry Adams entry to official engagements during his visit to the USA in 2005.

Terrorist funding from the U.S. during ‘The Troubles’.

NORAID, or the Irish Northern Aid Committee, was an American-based organisation founded in 1969 with the purpose of supporting Irish nationalist causes during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

NORAID aimed to assist Irish nationalists, particularly those aligned with the IRA, who were fighting to end British rule in Northern Ireland and to achieve Irish unification.

Initially, NORAID operated under the guise of providing humanitarian assistance, collecting funds that were officially designated for the families of imprisoned IRA members.

However, it was later confirmed that NORAID’s fundraising directly supported the IRA’s terrorist activities.

The organisation held events, raised money through public donations, and used these funds to buy weapons, often from the Soviet bloc, that were sent to support the terrorist’s campaign.

By the late 1990s, as the peace process in Northern Ireland progressed, support for NORAID diminished. The signing of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 marked a turning point, as many former supporters of armed struggle moved toward political solutions.

Ironically, it was 9/11, the attack on the World Trade Centre in New York in 2001 that finally brought home to Americans what terrorism means, that sealed NORAID’s fate.

NORAID’s funding dried up almost overnight.

Many of the IRA’s victims, mostly civilians, simply disappeared: the bodies of Joe Lynskey, Columba McVeigh, Captain Robert Nairac and Seamus Maguire have still to be found.

Somebody knows where they are, possibly one of the Democrat party’s darlings.

It what is being seen as a ploy to play up to the Irish vote in the U.S., President Joe Biden will not be attending the May 6th coronation of King Charles III in London.

London is denying this is a snub, however Biden will surely hope his Irish electorate will see it that way with presidential elections looming on the horizon.
