Holocaust: Yad Vashem Chairman Dani Dayan’s Address to Lithuania’s Seimas on the 80th anniversary of the liquidation of the Vilna ghetto

Dani Dayan
Yad Vashem Chairman Dani Dayan traveled to Vilna for the second time this year after being invited by the President of the Seimas, the Lithuanian Parliament, to address a special remembrance session of the Parliament and participate in official ceremonies marking the 80th anniversary of the liquidation of the Vilna ghetto in Lithuania and commemorating the victims of the Holocaust in Lithuania.

I am in tears and am so grateful that I have lived to see this. Dayan mentions Noreika, Skirpa and Krikstaponis by name. Loudly and clearly. And loudly and clearly, our small team of fearsome truth tellers has broken through the wall of fraud.

“The Lithuanian Prime Minster and Speaker of the House are in attendance at the speech. They and the Parliament applaud at the end,” – Grant Gochin, Chair of the Maceva Project in Lithuania, author of “Malice, Murder and Manipulation”, published in 2013, which documents his family history of oppression in Lithuania.

These events have particular significance as Lithuania’s leaders continue to recognise their nation’s dark Holocaust past and redouble their commitment towards Holocaust education, remembrance, and fostering tolerance and understanding.
