Novocherkassk

In a bold move, the Ukrainian air force launched a successful attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet landing ship Novocherkassk in the port of Feodosia in southeastern Crimea.

The strike, which occurred early Tuesday morning, was shared on social media by Lt. Gen. Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of Ukraine’s air force, who declared that “Russia’s fleet is getting smaller and smaller!”

Footage shared by Lt. Gen. Oleshchuk showed a nighttime explosion in Feodosia, indicating that the Ukrainian bombers had successfully hit their target.

Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has lost at least one cruiser, four amphibious ships, a submarine, a supply ship and several patrol boats and landing craft since the current conflict began.

This latest attack marks a significant blow to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which has been a key component of Russia’s military presence in Crimea since its illegal annexation in 2014.

The Novocherkassk was one of the largest ships in the fleet, capable of carrying up to 300 troops and heavy equipment.

The Ukrainian government has not yet released an official statement on the attack.

The destruction of the Novocherkassk is a significant blow to the Russian Black Sea Fleet and a clear message from the Ukrainian air force that they will not back down in the face of Russian aggression.

This attack may mark a turning point in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia and shows that Ukraine is willing to take bold action to defend its sovereignty.
