In an article published on February 19th, United Nations experts expressed being “appalled by reported human rights violations against Palestinian women and girls”: The State of Israel has rejected the allegations.
The experts claimed to have evidence of Israeli military personnel deliberately targeting Palestinian women and children in Gaza and the West Bank.
Israeli spokeswoman Naomi Levy said: “The UN describes itself as the representative of “the world’s commitment to the promotion and protection of the full range of human rights and freedoms”.
“And yet, it was only after four months of waiting that they acknowledged the sexual assault, rape, mutilation and murder committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli women and children on the 7th of October.
“The same experts who remained silent on the horrific violence perpetrated against Israeli women in Hamas captivity, despite abundant evidence posted on the internet by the perpetrators themselves — these experts are now accusing IDF soldiers of similar acts without any concrete proof.
“The State of Israel rejects those unfounded allegations and will continue its operations in the Gaza Strip, the objectives of which are — and have always been — to eliminate the terrorist organization Hamas and bring back our hostages.”
