Benedict Rogers talks to EU Today about Religious Repression in Communist China

Benedict Rogers is a British Human Rights activist and journalist, and author of the highly acclaimed book ‘The China Nexus.’

He is known for his criticisms of China’s communist government, and its widespread abuses of human rights.

Being communists, China’s government has a particular dislike of religion, which its sees as a rival.

Persecutions are widespread, and affect adherents of all religious persuasions.

Mr. Rogers was in Brussels to address the high-level  conference Unveiling Authoritarianism: Assessing China’s Governance and Human Rights Landscape.”

Following the conference, he kindly agreed to a short interview.
