At the ONE Conference, held in The Hague (Netherlands), the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center (NCSCC) of Ukraine and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) of the Netherlands signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This agreement marks a significant step forward in the ongoing partnership between the two nations in their joint efforts to counter cyber threats and share critical cyber security knowledge and expertise.
The signing of the MoU reflects the commitment of both the Netherlands and Ukraine to strengthen cooperation in cybersecurity. Both countries have faced significant challenges due to rising cyber threats and hybrid warfare, making collaboration more crucial than ever.
Serhii Demediuk, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, emphasised the important role of cybersecurity in Ukraine’s defence against the ongoing Russian aggression: “Cybersecurity has become a frontline in our fight for sovereignty and future.
“Ukraine has been defending itself against relentless cyber-attacks that accompany the physical assault on our nation, and our experience in this domain is unparalleled.
“We are ready to share this hard-earned knowledge with our partner countries because only through collaboration can we effectively counter the global threats.”
The Dutch government has included continued support for Ukraine in its coalition agreement, recognizing that modern warfare includes both physical and cyber attacks.
The MoU is an important follow-up to the bilateral security agreement the Netherlands has with Ukraine and expression of our broad and intensive cooperation.
“We sincerely appreciate the Netherlands’ unwavering support during these difficult times. Their partnership reflects a deep commitment to Ukraine and strengthens our country’s cyber resilience,” said Serhii Demediuk.
This agreement signifies a mutual commitment to leveraging shared experiences and enhancing cybersecurity capabilities through joint initiatives and continuous collaboration.
