Anne Sherriff named as new UK Ambassador to Belgium

Ms. Anne Sherriff has been designated as His Majesty’s new Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, succeeding Mr. Martin Shearman CVO, who is slated for another Diplomatic Service role.

Ms. Sherriff is expected to assume her new responsibilities in September 2024.

Her previous roles include serving as the Interim Deputy Trade Commissioner for Europe and Country Director France in Paris.

Prior to this, she held positions as the Deputy Director in the Europe Directorate and as the Head of the EU/Global Issues Section, both within the Foreign & Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO.)
