The London Metropolitan Police Professionalism Command is a dedicated division within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) that prides itself on focussing on maintaining and enhancing the professionalism, ethics, and integrity of its officers and staff.
The Head of Met’s Black Police Association, Inspector Charles Ehikioya, who is himself based in the London Metropolitan Police professionalism command, is currently facing dismissal over ‘racist’ WhatsApp messages.
Inspector Charles Ehikioya, who has served for 26 years, has been accused of sending ‘misogynistic, racist, violent and otherwise inappropriate’ texts between 2017 and 2020.
He could be sacked without notice if the allegations are proven at an upcoming gross misconduct hearing, due to take place 6th to 10th January 2025.
