Rugby World Cup 2023: South Africa lift the trophy for a fourth time

by EU Today Sports Correspondent
For the fourth time in Rugby World Cup history, South Africa lift the trophy as champions, at Rugby World Cup 2023 in Paris, France. They faced New Zealand in the final for the second time, after beating them in the 1995 final.

A tense 12-11 victory over South Africa in the Rugby World Cup final at the Stade de France on Saturday.

The All Blacks were doomed from the moment captain Sam Cane was sent off via the bunker review system for a high tackle on Jesse Kriel just before the half-hour mark.

He admitted that the costly red card was something “I’m going to have to live with for ever”.
