Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk says 6,623 citizens evacuated through humanitarian corridors in 24 hours

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk has said that 6,623 citizens were evacuated to safe zones from cities where the war with the Russian army is raging, through eight humanitarian corridors operating in different regions in the last 24 hours.

She noted that humanitarian corridors in residential areas such as Mariupol, Bervytsya, Bucha, Bohdanivka, Lysychans’k, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne and Popasna were operating while Borodyanka and Kherson were blocked by the Russian army.

Vereshchuk said attempts to evacuate Ukrainians would continue.
